About Lori Riggs, CMP
Event producer and owner Lori Riggs, a six-year Certifed Meeting Professional (CMP), has more than 15 years experience planning various types of events. For the past six years as Director of Conferences & Special Events, her primary project was the Safety and Health Summit hosted by the National Safety Council, Greater Omaha Chapter.
The recipient of two national awards and one regional award for her work in event production, Lori holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Cum Laude in Meeting and Destination Management from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Her awards include Star of the Year, Meeting Professionals International Heartland Chapter, Student Planner of the Year, Professional Convention Management Association and in 2007, Show Manager of the Year, The Expo Group.
Lori is a past president of Meeting Professionals International, Heartland Chapter and has been a member of MPI for nine years. LeadingStaR Event Productions is a member of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
Her travel experience includes Bermuda, Bahamas, Trinidad, Canada, and 39 US states including Hawaii and Alaska.
Lori’s experience includes the planning and management of all aspects of conferences, tradeshows and special events including but not limited to researching and booking 100+ speakers/celebrities annually and implementing event marketing strategies in print, television, radio and e-marketing. |
